My title says it all. At the beginning of the year I made some goals for this year that I wanted to try to attain. I have put that list out of my head for the past couple of months. It’s so easy to do that.
I have had so many different things going on that I feel like I haven’t really concentrated well on any one thing yet this year. Does this sound familiar to any of you? That is why the title of my post. Looking back at the goals and doing a review has the ability to make me feel bad. Make me feel like I haven’t accomplished much this year.
This time though I am choosing to look at it differently. I am not going to let it get me down or make me feel bad. I know that I have accomplished many things that were not on the list so I still feel successful. Also, I still have half a year left to work on these goals.
Homeschool
continue to do hands on projects and blog about them – have completely stopped doing projects, yuck, need to do better on this next school year
finish the year strong – this one is going well, we will be finished at the end of this month and will have actually completed everything I set out for us to complete
plan next years school before school starts – already starting to make my lists
Photography/Blog
learn to use my dsr camera on something other than auto – haven’t even started yet, boo
improve my photo skills – same as above
post to my blog regularly – Oh my goodness, so much improvement is needed in this area still
find a cookbook and cook through the recipes and post to blog – haven’t even started this yet
Scrapbooking
use all of my Cricut carts at least once in a project and post about them – I need to get on this one. So far I have only used one cart and posted it to my blog
scrapbook at least 150 new layouts – Yuck, I am really behind here, I have only done one layout this year, still
Weight
work out at least 3 times per week for the whole year once my foot is healed – ugh, I am really inconsistent on this one, need to get better
lose 40 pounds (I have alot more to lose than that but that would be an awesome achievement for me) – down 8.5 pounds
Home
clean and decorate my bathroom – not started yet
clean and decorate my bedroom – not started yet
list all of the backlog of merchandise I have to my Ebay store – if I stopped buying more stuff to sell it would probably be easier to complete this goal :-) I do love the shopping part though
keep my office clean year round – ha ha ha ha ha ha, need I say more?
Personal
read at least 20 new books this year – read only 1 so far, I really need to get busy here to accomplish this goal, I love reading too so there isn’t any excuse for this
read the Bible more & complete at least 4 Bible studies – happy with the progress on this one so far
I would love to hear how you are doing with your goals. Post a link to your blog in the comments if you like.
